Four people are facing attempted murder charges after Regina police, including a SWAT team, were called to a home following an assault with a weapon.

Police were called after an injured man at Regina General Hospital reported he had been assaulted last Thursday night.

The investigation led police to a home in the 700 block of Elphinstone Street. A SWAT team, crisis negotiators and an explosives disposal unit were called to the scene.

Six people exited the home, and four of them – a man and three women – were charged.

A search of the home turned up and imitation handgun, bladed weapons and a needle, police said.

Kelly Delbert Brittain, 27, Janay Adele Sunshine, 27, Morgan Chance Littlechief, 28, and Amanda Gusnowski, 24, all from Regina, each face charges of attempted murder and uttering threats.

All four accused made their first court appearance Monday morning.
