Nearly all travel advisories have been lifted in southern Saskatchewan, but a blowing snow advisory remains in effect for Regina and other southeastern communities.

Environment Canada says wind gusts of up to 80 kilometres an hour will cause widespread reduced visibility in blowing snow. Winds are expected to diminish later in the day.

Earlier in the day, travel was not recommended on the Trans-Canada Highway from Rush Lake to Mortlach, as well as some roads south of that area.
