Farmgate is the most watched agricultural program in the province, and has been on the air for 27 years. Host Bob Simpson grew up on a farm in southern Alberta, and graduated in broadcasting from Mount Royal College in Calgary.
Bob joined CTV in 1988 to work on a television news magazine called "The Provincial." His assignments for The Provincial took him all over Saskatchewan, and kept him connected to his agricultural roots.
In 1999 the opportunity to host Farmgate presented itself, and Bob jumped at the chance.
Away from the camera, Bob enjoys almost all sports, and getting away from the city to do a little fishing.
