RCMP say a body found inside a submerged vehicle last week has been identified as that of a missing man from White Fox, Sask.

Dental records were used to confirm the identity of James Gallagher. The 71-year-old was reported missing in November 2011 and his family organized several large searches in the months that followed.

On Sunday, an RCMP dive team found Gallagher's body inside his pickup truck at the bottom of McLurg Lake, about 370 kilometres northeast of Prince Albert.

Police say foul play isn't suspected.
