Regina city police are investigating what could be the first flooding fatality of 2011 in Saskatchewan.

Late Saturday afternoon, police were called to the Regina Dog Park in the city's west end, after a report of someone in the water. Wascana Creek is currently flooding, and most of the park is now underwater. A body was located and pulled from the current.

There is no official word on the identity of the person, or how they ended up in the flood waters. Police were not immediately available to comment. CTV Regina will continue to follow this story and have more details, as they are available, on CTV News at 11:30.
