Police have now identified the person who was found dead in a burnt out home in the 1500 block of McTavish Street.
The body of Ryan Daniel Sugar, 31, was found in the home on Tuesday. His family has been notified of his death.
Fire broke out in the home last Wednesday, destroying the structure. It was believed that four people lived in the house, but that no one was home at the time of the blaze.
According to reports from friends and family on social media, Sugar had been missing since last Tuesday, although there was no missing persons release issued by police.
“At the time, the premises were searched as well as could be, given the extreme heat and the instability of the structure,” Regina police said in a news release Tuesday.
Anyone with information about Sugar’s death is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
