RCMP are investigating after a possible clandestine lab or illegal chemical dump site was discovered near a town north of Regina.
A local resident called police after he found several dead patches of grass and some unusual chemical containers at an abandoned homestead near Strasbourg last week.
A clandestine lab team that includes RCMP, fire, EMS and specially trained staff from the Ministry of Environment was called in.
The team has been at the scene since Saturday securing the site and examining the containers to try to identify the chemicals.
Investigators are expected to remain at the scene for several more days because of the safety precautions that must be taken when dealing with unknown chemicals.
