REGINA -- Childcare at the First Nations University of Canada (FNUC) is temporarily closed for cleaning after a person on campus tested positive for COVID-19.

In a letter sent to students on Thursday morning, the campus childcare centre said it would close until further notice as a measure to “reduce risk to others”.

“In order to reduce the risk to employees, effective immediately, all employees will continue to work remotely. There will be no interruption in service to students as 100% of the Fall term courses are being delivered remotely,” The university said in a statement to CTV News.

It said the campus will be closed until further notice and a deep cleaning of the entire Regina campus will take place.
