Ultimate Deck Shop

The Ultimate Deck Shop opened it's doors April 2016 in a tiny building on McAra Street in Regina, Saskatchewan. Shane Chapman and Wade Laurent are the founding partners. Highschool friends, college roommates, and now business partners, Shane and Wade dreamed up the idea of a retail building materials store that specialized in the deck and fence categories. A few short months later, the idea went from dream to reality.

Shane and Wade both hail from small town Saskatchewan. It's where they met. Arcola High School in Arcola, Saskatchewan. But it wasn't until they became college roommates while attending the University of Regina that a friendship blossomed.

The Ultimate Deck Shop is the result of a desire to go into business together, met with a need that they identified in the market. Wade was a self-employed finish carpenter with Wade Laurent Construction Ltd., while Shane was employed as a Marketing Analyst at SaskTel, while operating a deck building business on the side (Fresh Decks, Fresh Construction Ltd.) They threw it all to the wind to explore the opportunity now known as The Ultimate Deck Shop.
