A 28-year-old Regina man is facing drug charges after police and social services conducted a child welfare check at a home in the city.

Police say when officers arrived Wednesday, they spotted several items indicative of drug trafficking in plain view inside the home, located in the 1600 block of Grant Drive.

Members of the Regina police drug unit seized cocaine, marijuana, psilocybin, cash, cellphones and drug packaging and paraphernalia. A man was arrested without incident.

Devin Kenneth Irving, 28, of Regina faces charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana and possession of psilocybin.

Irving was scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday morning.
