A man is facing drug-trafficking charges after a SWAT call Tuesday afternoon in Regina.

Around 5 p.m., police carried out a search warrant at a home in the 1000 block of Athol Street.

A SWAT team was called in after police learned there may be weapons and drugs inside the home.

Six people emerged from the house and were taken into custody for interviews. One man was charged.

Police say they found ammunition, methamphetamine and marijuana inside the house.

Jason Alvin Ursulan, 39, of Regina faces charges including two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and various firearm-related charges.

Ursulan was released on a recognizance and was scheduled to make his first court appearance Wednesday morning.
