RCMP seized nearly 40 grams of cocaine during a routine traffic check.

Estevan RCMP pulled over a vehicle suspected of dangerous driving on Saturday, and after further investigation, they seized 38 grams of cocaine.

Two women, ages 51 and 35, from the Regina area were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. One woman was also found to be hiding a small amount of crystal methamphetamine in a body cavity.

Upon further investigation police were lead to a rural property near Frobisher Sunday. After executing a search warrant, RCMP seized more than one kilogram of crystal meth, 300 grams of a cocaine based substance and a .22 caliber assault style rifle.

The 51-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man are both now facing several charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both the accused are set to appear in provincial court on Tuesday, October 10.
