Fire ban issued for south Sask. provincial parks
Published Friday, July 14, 2017 3:49PM CST
A fire ban has been issued for a number of provincial parks in southern Saskatchewan as a result of dry conditions in the region.
Open fires will not be allowed at Buffalo Pound, Cypress Hills, Danielson, Douglas and Saskatchewan Landing provincial parks.
Self-contained portable gas heating devices, fire pits, barbeques, pressurized stoves and charcoal briquettes will be allowed for cooking and heating at the park’s discretion.
If you see a fire, call Park Watch at 1-800-667-1788 or 911.
The restrictions will be in place until further notice.
