A fire ban has been lifted for the city of Regina.
The ban, which was issued Sept. 8 due to dry conditions this summer, was rescinded Thursday.
Fire officials say recent rain, cooler temperatures and the amount of crops harvested were determining factors in ending the ban.
On Wednesday, a fire ban that was issued for all provincial Crown land south of the Churchill River in Saskatchewan was lifted.
Officials are reminding people to carefully dispose of smoker’s material in a metal container partially filled with sand or gravel, instead of tossing it into flower pots, planters or plastic containers.
