A former Saskatchewan elementary school teacher who admitted to inappropriate acts with a minor has received a suspended sentence with 18 months probation.
Trevor Latham, who worked in Sturgis, pleaded guilty last month to sexual assault and sexual interference involving a 12-year-old Yorkton girl.
He was fired by the Good Spirit School Division after entering the plea.
As part of his sentence, Latham must register as a sex offender.
