Four arrested after drugs found in traffic stop

Four people were arrested after RCMP discovered drugs during a vehicle stop in Herbert, Sask. on Friday.

The RCMP says officers pulled over a vehicle to check for a man wanted on warrants by Swift Current RCMP. They ended up arresting all four people inside the vehicle on a number of outstanding warrants.

Police say they found cocaine, heroin and suspected fentanyl inside the vehicle. They also found prohibited weapons and cash.

The four people are facing a total of 47 charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Nicholas Neufeld, 18, Nicolas Belanger, 28, Sherie Knowles-Hicks, 19, and Aleigha Yasin, 20, will make their first court appearances in Swift Current Provincial Court on Monday.
