Saskatchewan RCMP say between 10 a.m. Sunday and Monday there were 52 reports of weather-related collisions around the province.

Winter storm and freezing rain warnings were issued across a large part of central and southern Saskatchewan over the weekend. Resulting in closed highways and others where travel was not recommended as recent as Monday morning.

As of 1 p.m. Monday all highways had been re-opened but traffic was still not recommended in the Swift Current area.

“As the snow and icy conditions continue, the Saskatchewan RCMP is reminding drivers to slow down when driving on slippery/snow-covered surfaces or with reduced visibility,” RCMP said in a news release.

RCMP did not say how many injuries resulted from the 52 reported collisions.
