A 30-year-old woman is facing a number of firearms charges and an impaired driving charge after a crash in central Regina on Monday night.
Three vehicles were involved in a rear end collision just after 7:00 p.m. The occupants of the first vehicle allegedly fled the scene before police arrived.
Police went to the home of the registered owner, where a 30-year-old woman was arrested and charged. Police also found a firearm in the vehicle.
Leandra Lynn Newman has been charged with Careless Use of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device, Failure to Stop at the Scene of an Accident, Driving While Impaired, Failure or Refusal to Provide a Sample.
Newman is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
No one was seriously injured as a result of the crash.
