A man is facing impaired driving charges after a fatal collision near Moose Jaw.

RCMP say a northbound truck collided with a southbound truck Sunday afternoon on Highway 39.

The lone driver of the northbound truck, a 62-year-old man, died at the scene. His name has not been released.

The occupants of the southbound truck – the 34-year-old male driver, a 42-year-old male passenger and a 29-year-old female passenger – were all taken to hospital and have since been released.

The driver of the southbound truck, John Smolinski of Weyburn, faces charges including impaired driving causing death and two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm.

Smolinski is scheduled to make his next court appearance Tuesday in Moose Jaw.
