Former Pat Canadian Jared Britton was found not guilty of felony murder on Friday.
Britton was charged with felony murder in the death of a fellow university classmate, Bradley Simon.
A jury took just 7 hours to come to its decision, setting the 23-year-old hockey player free.
Britton and Simon reportedly got into a fight at a bar last September, then as Simon was leaving on bike he ran into a concrete wall hit his head and died five days later after suffering a traumatic head injury.. It was alleged that Simon was pushed.
Jed McGlasson who played hockey with Britton at the University of Wisconsin Stout is also charged in Simon's death. His case is schedule to go to trial in August
