REGINA -- Our viewer Cindy was driving along Highway 11 by the turn off to Deer Valley and saw a large green sign with a “D” on it. These can also be seen on Highway 48 on the way to Kipling, and was #JustCurious what is for.

While that sign may be confusing to the average driver, to a truck driver with a wide load, it means “over dimensional route” and shows them the path for their wide load. These exist every so often so that big trucks don’t have to take the main pathways, thus slowing you down on your journey.

A full list of traffic signs and their meanings can be found on the SGI website.
