A moose that delayed a flight at the Regina airport after it roamed onto a runway has been tranquillized and removed from a nearby neighbourhood.
The moose was spotted on the airport tarmac shortly after 6 a.m. Friday.
The animal eventually darted across Lewvan Drive and wandered into the Cathedral neghbourhood.
Conservation officers tranquilized the moose and it ran a short distance before collapsing on a sidewalk on Robinson Street near College Avenue.
The sedated animal was loaded onto a flatbed truck and hauled away.
