On Saturday at approximately 12:30 Kamsack RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the SARCAN on Queen Elizabeth Blvd. in Kamsack.

A man entered the business, demanded money and brandished a spear gun. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money. A short time later, Kamsack RCMP with the assistance of the Yorkton Police Dog Service and the Yorkton Forensic Identification Services, apprehended the man. No one was hurt during the incident.

Charges have now been laid against a 35-year-old man, as well as a 26-year-old woman. The man faces charges of robbery with a firearm, uttering threats, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order. The female faces charges of robbery with a firearm.

Both have been remanded and will make their first appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court on Monday, December 10, 2012.
