A 22-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly pointed a handgun at another person.

The incident happened early Monday morning on the 500 block of Ninth Avenue South.

Police arrived at the scene, and located the suspect in a vehicle. They conducted a high risk vehicle stop and got two people out of the vehicle.

According to police, the third person in the vehicle refused to get out and attempted to flee. Police used a canine member to stop the suspect and then took him into custody.

The suspect received minor injuries from the dog.

Joshua Adams, 22, has been charged with assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public, among other charges.
