A Regina man is facing attempted murder charges after two other men were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.

Gregg Joshua Meyer is also charged with uttering threats, possession of cannabis and several firearm offences. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance Monday morning.

Meyer, 30, was arrested after police were called to a report of a man walking with a rifle in the 700 block of Wascana Street at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers found a .22-cal. rifle close by.

Shortly after 7 a.m., police were called to the 500 block of Wascana Street, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Less than an hour later, officers were called to the 400 block of Pasqua Street, where they found a second man who had been shot.

Both men were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
