A man has been found guilty of first-degree murder of a northwest Saskatchewan couple.

Genne and Teresa Nolin were found dead in their Rapid View home in October 2012.

The man who was convicted is 19, but he can't be named because he was 17 when the Nolins were killed.

During the trial the court viewed a video of the man telling RCMP that the motive for the crime was to get money for drugs.

The other teen in the case, who was 14 at the time, previously pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and was sentenced to 10 years, the maximum youth sentence.

The sentencing hearing for the 19-year-old is set for Sept. 1.
