One man is in hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 near Regina on Friday afternoon.

At around 3:00 p.m., RCMP responded to the crash about six kilometres north of the city at the Exit A turnoff. RCMP say a mini-van travelling east bound on the #734 road collided with an SUV travelling north on Highway 11.

A STARS air ambulance airlifted the lone, 85-year-old male driver of the van to Regina with serious injuries.

The driver and passenger in the SUV, both men in their 80s, were taken to hospital in Regina with non-life threatening injuries.

Highway 11 northbound traffic was restricted for about 4 hours on Friday, while emergency crews were on scene. Lumsden RCMP and RCMP Traffic Collision Analysts continue to investigate the collision.
