RCMP are looking for a man who posed as a maintenance worker to steal money from a business in Regina Beach.

Mounties say the man claimed to be responding to a call for service, and was briefly given unsupervised access to the main office, where he took an undisclosed amount of cash. The theft happened Dec. 30 at around 9:30 p.m.

The man was described as Caucasian, in his mid-forties, five-foot-eight to five-foot-ten and 180 to 200 pounds with dark hair. He was wearing sweatpants, a checkered coat and a camouflage baseball cap.

It's believed he's driving a white 1995 or 1996 Ford Contour GL with a spoiler on the trunk. The first digit of the licence plate is 8, and a belt on the engine of the car was squealing very loudly.

Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is being asked to contact Lumsden RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
