One Regina man is facing robbery charges after demanding money from a business while wearing a mask and carrying a knife on Saturday night.

The suspect entered a business on the 1700 block of East Dewdney Avenue, masked and carrying a knife. He demanded money and was given an undisclosed amount, according to a police release.

Police responded to the robbery around 9:45 p.m., and were able to arrest the suspect without incident.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Jay Morton, 26, has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent and carrying a concealed weapon. His first court appearance will be in Provincial Court on Oct. 1.
