Health Minister Don McMorris admits he miscalculated the cost of an NDP health care promise made during the election campaign.

Shortly after the NDP announced plans for 30 primary health care clinics on Wednesday, the Saskatchewan's Party's McMorris said it would cost the province $840 million. He now says that was a mistake and the price tag would be more like $60 million -- a difference of $780 million.

McMorris says the Sask. Party thought the NDP was promising new community clinics throughout the province, which are more expensive to operate than primary health care clinics.
