Judy Campbell’s family is worried her mental health could be a factor in her disappearance.

Campbell has been missing since Sept. 21. Her daughter, Alison Campbell, said the last she heard from her 65-year-old mother was Wednesday when she received a text message from her, explaining she was going to Swift Current to visit family.

However, after Judy Campbell was reported missing and police traced the tower that message came from, it showed she was north of North Battleford, near the Delmas area, when she sent that message, her daughter said.

Alison Campbell said after they realized her mother was missing, the family found signs that her depression was worse than they realized.

“We found some information that indicated she may have wanted to harm herself,” she said.

“We’re hoping if we can find her we can intervene or if she has done something we can get her some help and we can save her.”

Police don’t know what Judy Campbell was wearing when she went missing, but in a news release they asked for people to look out for her vehicle, a light-green Subaru Crosstrek.

“I’m guessing she probably would have gone to a field or a treed area in northern Saskatchewan or northern Alberta just to be alone given the state of mind she was in. Farmers, hikers, hunters, if people could keep a look out for any sign of her,” Alison Campbell said.

Anyone with information about Judy Campbell’s whereabouts is asked to call police.
