Campbell Collegiate was locked down Wednesday afternoon after an apparent stabbing involving a student.
Regina Public Schools and police confirm that the incident happened at approximately 2:00 pm south of school property, and involved a student and a non-student. Investigators say the student was returning to school when the incident took place.
Police say the building was secured after the 16-year-old student walked back into the building with apparent stab wounds after the incident. He was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Grant Road School, Marion McVeety School, Ecole Massey Elementary and Dr. Martin Leboldus Catholic Schools were also placed into lockdown.
Police have not yet located a suspect. Officers do not believe there is any further risk to the public as a result of this incident.
The security measures were lifted by 2:40 pm, and students were allowed to leave.
