Former Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Cary Koch signed with the Edmonton Eskimos on Wednesday.

Koch spent the past two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In eight regular season games as a rookie in 2010, he had 21 catches for 299 yards and three touchdowns. He also had four receptions for 57 yards in the 2010 Grey Cup game in Edmonton.

Last season, Koch caught 15 passes for 133 yards in nine regular season games.

"Cary missed much of 2011 with an injury, but within the football fraternity his talent is widely recognized," said Eskimos general manager Eric Tillman. "We really like is how Cary approaches the game when he isn't the primary receiver. He runs every route full speed and he blocks extremely well, too. Championship clubs do all the little things right and Cary certainly fits that mold."
