A 34-year-old woman is dead and three people were sent to hospital after a two-vehicle collision Sunday morning at the intersection of Wanuskewin Road and Highway 11.

The woman was one of three occupants of a minivan that was crossing the intersection when it was struck by a truck travelling southbound on Highway 11 just after 11 a.m. Sunday, Warman RCMP said in a news release.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene after she was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Two other occupants of the minivan, a 49-year-old male and 42-year-old female were taken to hospital after being extricated from the vehicle.

The driver of the truck, a 45-year-old man, exited his vehicle without assistance. He was later taken to hospital.

A portion of Highway 11 was closed for more than six hours Sunday as RCMP investigated.
