ContactBecoming a member of CTV News Regina in 2018, Cole Davenport worked mainly as a Video Journalist and fill-in anchor before taking over as Anchor of CTV News at Five in 2022.
In 2024, Cole moved into a renewed reporting role while still anchoring CTV News at 11:30 in Regina.
As a Regina-based generalist, Cole reports on a wide range of topics as needed but is especially knowledgeable in city and provincial politics, agriculture, civil and criminal court proceedings, and local sports. He’s covered stories throughout east-central and southern Saskatchewan.
Cole holds an Interactive Media Arts diploma from Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, MB with a Writer/Producer specialization. He’s also completed the Indigenous Canada course through the University of Alberta, exploring the history and perspectives of Indigenous peoples living in Canada.
Cole was part of the Saskatchewan news team that earned the 2023 RTDNA Canada Prairie Region award for Breaking News in a Small/Medium Market, after covering the arrest of the suspect in a deadly series of stabbings in Sept. 2022.
Prior to joining CTV News Regina, Cole worked as a Video Journalist with CTV News Yorkton and as an Announcer/News Anchor with Golden West Radio in Estevan, his hometown.
He speaks English.
