Matt Hamel is a weather specialist and host for CTV Morning Live Regina.

Matt started with CTV Regina in April of 2020, previously working as news director for a radio station in Manitoba. His broadcasting career began in 2017 with Bell Media Ottawa.

Matt graduated with honours from the Humber College Radio Broadcasting program in 2019. He also earned a Bachelors of Kinesiology degree at Brock University, and maintains a deep passion for health science and mental health.

As a weather specialist, Matt delivers Saskatchewan’s forecast weekday mornings on CTV Morning Live Regina. He is an avid sports fan, sometimes doing play-by-play for the University of Regina Cougars. Matt loves music and frequently interviews performing artists from across the country.

He speaks English.
