Multiple crashes were reported as snow flurries created whiteout conditions on highways around Regina.

Traffic was backed up after an eight-car pileup Wednesday morning on the Ring Road near Dewdney Avenue.

Vehicles were also lined up on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of the city after a traffic signal pole was struck down in a crash involving a minivan and a pickup truck

No injuries were reported.

Travel advisories that were issued for highways around Regina have all since been lifted.

According to Environment Canada, another five to 10 centimetres of snowfall was expected Wednesday.
