Melville RCMP are searching for a suspect after a pharmacy was robbed on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the 100 block of Second Avenue East just before 5:00 p.m. According to police, a man stole a number of different drugs and left the scene on foot. No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect also stole 63 fentanyl patches of varying strength. Police say the patches are small clear squares, and should only be used if prescribed by doctor. Police say anyone who finds the medication not to handle it, and to report it to police immediately.

The suspect is described as between 5’6” and 5’9” tall, 150 to 175-pounds with a “distinct walk.” He was wearing a black balaclava, an orange and grey coat, red pajama pants and brown shoes at the time of the robbery.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should contact police or Crime Stoppers.
