The mystery of the damaged concrete posts at Regina's City Square Plaza has been solved.

Six of the posts were toppled over the weekend. It turns out police caught the alleged perpetrator Saturday night.

A red Dodge truck was discovered on scene and a 38-year-old man was arrested in Victoria Park.

However, police officials were not aware that the case had been solved until Thursday, several days after authorities appealed to the public for information.

Christopher William Hogg from Regina is set to appear in court on impaired driving charges next Tuesday.
