The Regina Food Bank has announced its new CEO.
Steve Compton joined the organization as its director of operations in 2005.
“It is with great appreciation I accept this significant opportunity,” Compton said in a news release.
“We will continue to ensure excellence in food security, education, training opportunities and facilitating access to important services to those less fortunate in our community.”
Departing food bank CEO Wayne Hellquist says Compton has the experience, knowledge and commitment to take on the new role.
“I know the food bank will be in great hands as Steve provides the future leadership and puts his stamp on the organization,” Hellquist said in the release.
Compton is the third person to serve as CEO of the Regina Food Bank in the organization’s 30-year history.
