A woman who was charged after the remains of her baby were discovered at the Lloydminster landfill won't be facing any jail time.

Danielle Jackson was given a two-year suspended sentence without probation, and was ordered to write an apology to the RCMP after the extensive search they conducted.

The 27-year-old had earlier pleaded guilty to concealing the body of a child.

An investigation revealed the child was stillborn. Authorities combed the landfill for five days before they found the baby’s remains in November 2011.
