One person is dead and another in hospital after a three-ton truck collided head-on with a semi-trailer on a highway in southeastern Saskatchewan.

RCMP say the driver of the three-ton truck was killed in the crash, which happened on the afternoon of Jan. 9 on Highway 13, about five kilometres east of Forget.

No name has been released.

The driver of the semi sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital in Regina.

Traffic on Highway 13 was detoured around the scene for several hours while police investigated.
