An 18-year-old man has been charged after a shooting that injured another 18-year-old man on Athol Street last week.
Police were called to a residence in the 1300 block of Athol Street on Feb. 22. According to police, a man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.
Police say officers found a sawed-off shotgun and bag filled with ammunition on the property and seized them as evidence. Further investigation led to the arrest of a man on Feb. 24.
Coltin Darcy McAllister, 18, is facing multiple charges including possession of a loaded or restricted firearm, discharge firearm with intent and careless use of a prohibited firearm.
McAllister made his first court appearance on Monday morning.
