REGINA -- The midway rides and concerts will be returning to Evraz Place this summer as the Queen City Ex is set to make a comeback.

According to Evraz Place, with North American Midways heading to Canada for the Calgary Stampede, the Regina facility is planning for the return of rides this summer as well

Dates haven’t been confirmed as of yet, but Tim Reid, CEO of the Regina Exhibition Association Limited, said the fair could be held the usual first week of August or later than month

“We spent 16 months turning it all off. We’re going to have to get ready to go pretty quickly,” said Reid.

COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics will continue at Evraz Place.

Reid said most of the fair activities will be outdoors and will include all the usual games, rides, entertainment and fair food.

The traditional summer exhibition was cancelled last summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Evraz Place has been used a testing and vaccination site for the virus over the past year.
