RCMP are investigating an alleged sexual assault at the Craven Country Jamboree.
At a news conference Sunday, Sgt. Craig Cleary said it had not yet been determined whether the allegation is founded.
“It’s always a concern,” Cleary said.
“Obviously when you have as many people here as you do with the amount of alcohol that is being consumed – and we can’t kid ourselves, there’s obviously some drug use going on here as well – obviously, that elevates the possibility of a sexual assault occurring.”
No further details have been released.
