RCMP have released the name of one of three men who died after a rollover in southern Saskatchewan.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Jason Friesen of Moose Jaw.

The names of two other men who died in the crash Monday on Highway 2 south of Moose Jaw aren’t being released at the request of their families.

Mounties say six men, ranging in age from 21 to 24, were inside the vehicle when it went off the road and rolled several times down an embankment.

Several of the men were ejected from the vehicle, and two of them died at the scene. A third man later succumbed to his injuries in hospital in Regina.

Another man who was airlifted to Regina remains in critical condition in hospital.

The remaining two men were taken to hospital in Moose Jaw with non-life threatening injuries.

Mounties say alcohol appears to be a factor, and some of the men weren’t wearing seatbelts.

Charges are pending against the 23-year-old driver.
