A Regina man is hoping to convince city council that proposed new regulations for rooming houses won't go far enough.
Ian Zerr is among eight people scheduled to speak to council about the issue at Tuesday night's meeting.
Zerr says he's worried an advertised "house hotel" in his neighbourhood will still be able to operate.
He said he's not opposed to anyone renting their home, or having a bed and breakfast, as long as they have the right permits, and the owners of the home live there.
Zerr says the residential hotel next to him has people coming and going all the time, and it's creating issues for parking, and safety. He said city hall should clamp down on short-stay operations.
