A 27-year-old Regina man has been charged with luring a child over the Internet.

The man was arrested in the city’s downtown area last Wednesday following an investigation by the Regina Police Service Vice Unit.

Police say officers identified a suspect who had allegedly sent messages of a sexual nature to a child through a computer over a two-month period.

Lyndon Adrian Chamberlin is charged with luring a person under 16 by means of telecommunication. He made his first court appearance last Thursday.

Police are reminding parents and caregivers to monitor their children's Internet use and online friends, and to report suspicious online activity.
