A Regina man charged in a fatal crash has pleaded guilty to impaired driving.

Mark Russel Stinson entered the plea in provincial court Monday morning.

Stinson, 31, was fined $1,000 plus a $150 victim surcharge and is prohibited from driving for one year.

He was charged after a fatal collision at the intersection of Wascana Drive and Broad Street on June 30.

The driver of the other vehicle, 20-year-old Chantelle Dieter, died in the crash.

Stinson wasn't found at fault in the collision, which is why he wasn't charged with the more serious offence of impaired driving causing death.
