Saskatchewan Party – Kevin Doherty

Born in Rose Valley, Kevin Doherty's parents Lenora and Mike still live on the family farm. After graduating from Rose Valley High School, Kevin earned his bachelor of arts from the University of Saskatchewan in 1985 and later received his certified financial planner designation.

Kevin was nominated as the candidate for Regina Northeast in March 2010.

"I'm thrilled to be the candidate for Regina Northeast," Kevin said. "I've already started having a conversation with the people who live and work in my constituency and am looking forward to continuing that conversation on the doorsteps in the months ahead."

In his professional life, he has worked as a division director for Investors Group, the director of government relations for Bayer Healthcare, as well as the manager of provincial relations for GlaxoWellcome. Kevin currently serves as the vice-president of corporate relations for SaskPower.

Kevin is also the former president of the University of Saskatchewan Students' Union, a former member of the University of Saskatchewan board of governors, former vice-chair of the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, a former member of the Regina Chamber of Commerce board of directors and former president of the Saskatchewan Special Olympics.

Kevin enjoys spending time at his cabin in northern Saskatchewan, traveling, golfing, reading and snowmobiling.

Dwayne Yasinowski

NDP – Dwayne Yasinowski

Dwayne Yasinowski grew up on the family farm in Lemberg, where his family owned the grocery store.

He has a degree in history from the University of Regina and is completing his master's degree. He works as a researcher with the NDP caucus, and has been an assistant to the minister of health and a contract researcher for a variety of governments and organizations. He and his wife Jennifer, a United Church minister and employee at the Co-op Upgrader, are raising three children.
